Years ago, when anyone wanted to get at (or get back at) someone for a perceived wrong or as a result of envy, the trick was to find whoever the worst gossip in the community was and start a rumour.

Wash bays on bridges still in operation

Dear Editor, I refer to an article in Stabroek News on Thursday, February 2, re ‘Queenstown wash bays told to shut -city in moves to standardise sector’, which in part reports Town Clerk Royston King as stating “wash bay operations would no longer be allowed on bridges”.
