Dear Editor, Reference is made to the article ‘PPP support for term limits has not changed –Ramotar’ (SN,  February 27).

Dear Editor, Since assumption to office as president, David Granger would have taken home approximately $50 million in terms of salary, a sum which excludes any of the additional significant sums he would have obtained from frequent overseas trips.

Dear Editor, I watch events unfold, and crash one into another with unremitting intensity. 

Immediately on his assumption to office in May 2015 President David Granger signalled his concern that the quality of the service delivered by the Guyana Public Service be enhanced to better match the national need by setting up a Com-mission of Inquiry (CoI) into the Public Service of Guyana.

Dear Editor, Community Development is noble work. After ten months in office as Councillors of Constituency 14: South Ruimveldt /Ruimveldt Industrial Estate, yours truly and Noelle Chow-Chee have seen tangible gains.

Dear Editor, I noticed with much pain of heart that for the 47th Republic Anniversary, President David Granger pardoned only 9 persons and all were female.

Dear Editor, I commend President Granger for the substance, tone, and sweep of his inclusive words in that Republic Day address.

Dear Editor, At the opening ceremony of the 28th Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM which was held in Guyana on February 16-17, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, CARICOM Secretary-General and Chairman, David Granger failed once again to present meaningful and concrete policies and programmes for implementation for the social and economic growth and development of Community Members to enable them to service their heavy debts and provide employment opportunities for their people.

Dear Editor, The decision by Appeal Court Justices Chancellor (ag) Carl Singh (ret’d) and Justice BS Roy, with Chief Justice (ag) Yonette Cummings-Edwards dissenting, to uphold retired Chief Justice (ag) Ian Chang’s ruling that Bharrat Jagdeo can run for a third term, despite the Guyana Constitution’s requirement to the contrary, must spark a spirited debate about and acquaintance with this instrument , including through the education system.
