Windies victories have revived interest in cricket

Dear Editor, The outstanding performances of the West Indies senior players in winning the T20 world cup championship for the second time, the victory of the women players also in the T20 tournament as well the excellent performance of our under 19 players to bring home the bacon, have certainly revived interest in the game after a relatively long time.

Is the CH&PA Board abandoning homeowners in distress?

Dear Editor, I was alarmed to read in your edition of March 24 last, that prospective homeowners of the distressed ‘turnkey homes’ scheme at Perseverance will now interface with contractors and “request modifications” as the Board of CH&PA has decided to terminate the previous government’s system, due to mismanagement.

It must, by now, be quite obvious to listeners last Sunday, that Darren Sammy, the West Indies T20 Cricket captain could not, with such a large population hearing him, and at a high point of personal and team success, contain himself from forthright public criticism of the West Indies Cricket Board.
