Dear Editor, When I woke up this morning, there were a beautiful sunrise, which I enjoy looking at.

In a recent BBC World Service Report, technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones describes technology tycoon and maverick entrepreneur Elon Musk as “both bonkers and brilliant, the most visionary technology leader I have encountered in 20 years of interviewing many of the leading figures in the industry.”

Dear Editor, The abnormally high suicide rate is unlikely to drop and will continue to climb bearing in mind that we are failing to address the root of this problem.

Dear Editor, The Ministry of Public Health has recently sent out a news bulletin stating that it will be continuing its fogging exercise as a means of vector control.

Dear Editor, Sugar production in Guyana is generally considered an unprofitable line of business at this point in time, particularly when it is common knowledge that the price for sugar is less than half of what it costs to produce a unit of the item.

Dear Editor, Pedestrians in Georgetown attempting to practise road safety by walking on the sidewalks and pavements rather than the busy roadways are confronted with what can only be described as an endurance obstacle course, thanks to the Mayor and City Council.

Dear Editor, With suicide becoming more prevalent in our society, it must be clear that we need to do much more towards its prevention.
