Dear Editor, With due respect, I am absolutely appalled at the standard of reporting seen in your online news reports; it is sometimes quite embarrassing to know that this quality of reporting comes from a country where English is the primary language.

Dear Editor, Audreyanna Thomas’ letter titled, ‘We have to select leaders who are good for the country,’ (SN, Sept 1) should stimulate discussion on how to overcome “fears of the other race”, and simultaneously reduce the excessively high levels of racial voting.

It is worth taking account of the difficulties being experienced by our neighhbour Brazil, as President Dilma Rousseff continues into her second term of office.
