In quick succession, between June 8th and June 25th, the Government of Guyana released news, first, of the signing of a contract worth $688 million for the rebuilding of a new Christ Church Secondary School to replace the one destroyed by fire back in January, and just last week, the commissioning of a $585 million ‘state-of-the-art’ Abram Zuil Secondary School in Region Two.

Dear Editor, The recent allegations leveled against the suspended Minister of Local Government and Regional Development is damning and an embarrassment for the government and our country.

Dear Editor, I perused the British Guyana Mental Hospital Act of 1930, the Guyana Private Hospital Act of 1972, and the revised Ministry of Health Act of 2005 for any information on Guyana’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
