Dear Editor,  It was a pleasant surprise when I checked your website and experienced your new design for the first time.

Dear Editor, I refer to the letter by Carl Veecock captioned “Paul Harris’s comments on his cartoons were clear and informative” (08.04.09)  Thank you Mr Veecock for your complimentary remarks  and for deeming my cartoons worthy of joining the ranks of  your collection.

Dear Editor, I opened your newspapers and was greeted with the welcome news of government advertising once again in your newspaper.

Dear Editor. I often wonder if I am unique in attempting to draw strong parallels between socio-political realities in the United States and  our own society. 

Dear Editor, I have noticed how quickly the massacres at Lusignan and Bartica have dropped out of the news.

Dear Editor, While reading your Wednesday, April 9th edition, I came across the headline, “Driver denies causing death of motorcyclist”.

Dear Editor, Rupert Williams, 53, of Burn Bush Dam, East Canje, has been bed- ridden for the past 2 years suffering with aches and pains to his upper body, and has been rapidly pining away.

So, our distinguished Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rudy Insanally, has finally called it a day.

Dear Editor, Whenever there is some new development in the hinterland the headline reads Amerindians now have access to whatever, whether it be water or electricity.

Dear  Editor, I make reference to the Stabroek Business editorial of Friday April 4, 2008, captioned “Probing GPL”, the cartoon of the same day and the several reports on the matter of the Guyana Power and Light (GPL).

Dear Editor, I refer to a letter by Mr Malcolm Alli captioned “I replaced Lawrence Charles as the project engineer for the east coast sea defences” (08.04.09).

Dear Editor,  I know a thing or two about helicopters but US$750,000 (G$150M) for a used, 20-year-old heli-copter with 10,000 flying hours beats all.

Dear Editor, I refer to your editorial of April 4 captioned “Newspapers and the blogosphere”.

Dear Editor, We have just received the sudden and shocking news of the death of E.A.

Dear Editor, I am not only encouraged but it is a pleasure to respond to the letters by Mr Leon Suseran captioned “Plan a trip to the Rupununi you won’t regret it” (08.04.01) and “In our own backyards there are jewels waiting to be discovered” (KN 08.03.30).

Dear Editor, The much anticipated report into allegations of torture, committed by members of the Guyana Defence Force on citizens is soon to be made public, according to Secretary to the Defence Board, Roger Luncheon.

Dear Editor, I had the opportunity to read the Guyana Police Force web page at http://www.guyanapoliceforce.org/.

Dear Editor, Yesterday’s story about the low pass rate of 17% for the entrance exams of the GDF should have caused some raised eyebrows but on reflection I asked myself the following questions.
