Can the weapons be retrieved after thirty years?

Dear Editor, Judging from your Tuesday, January 22 lead article headlined “Weapons issued to senior PNC official not returned – army sources say issuance went beyond 1979,” it seems to me that the serious charges of torture by the army against its own and against civilians have been outmanoeuvred from current headlines by ongoing revelations of the army-issued weapons to the PNC regime ministries, officials and agencies.

Barbados and the integration movement

As with elections in other countries of the Region, it is natural that the question should be asked as to whether, with the change of government in Barbados, there will be any change in the attitude of the new Democratic Labour Party administration to the regional integration movement.

More radio stations is the only sensible solution

Dear Editor It is my view that Vishnu Bisram in his letter captioned “Hindi songs are loved globally though people do not know the language” (08.01.20) tarnished an otherwise excellent observation on the discussion of the abundance of Indian music on local radio, by ending with a racial uppercut, which is a total disrespect for African Guyanese.
