Dear Editor,
Further to hundreds of unacknowledged and unanswered questions to ExxonMobil Guyana, EPA, Attorney General, Office of the Attorney General, MNRE, GLSC, inter alia: April 2022 – January 2023, I am left to appeal to the public through this letter.
Dear Editor,
I refer to the article you published titled ‘Ex-Precision Woodworking workers still to receive termination benefits’ on June 11, 2022, which highlighted the travails faced by Precision’s Directors and its former employees at the hands of Republic Bank Guyana Ltd.
Dear Editor,
In a column published in the Sunday Stabroek dated January 15, 2023 and entitled “Vestiges of socialism”, Senior Counsel Ralph Ramkarran incorrectly suggested that I complained about foreign companies “attracting workers away from local businesses”.
Dear Editor,
The PPP/C administration’s focus continues to be people-centered based upon an understanding that development must be for all, especially given the unique opportunities that Guyana has seen in recent years.
Dear Editor,
The author of the letter ‘Hard to believe that the level of incompetence could rise to the very top of the police force’ ((SN Jan 14), was candid, with detailed examples of bluntness and open and plain frankness, how the two top officers of the force tried unsuccessfully to be artful with episodes of awkward and clumsy responses to probing questions, as they presented evidence to the CoI.
Dear Editor,
I read with dismay an article on social media submitted by one of the public relations officers of the Top Cop stating that Police Constable, Troy Doris, was promoted to Cadet Officer after the Guyana Police Force engaged the Police Service Commission.

Dear Editor,
“The people of African descent have been dealt with unjustly, have not been duly recognized, or allowed equal opportunities for development.
Dear Editor,
On Wednesday, January 11, at approximately 10:25am, as I was about to enter a speedboat at the Vreed-en-Hoop stelling, I noticed an elderly man attempting to go down the stairs leading to the speedboat and was having difficulty.
Dear Editor,
Note: In passing I believe that there has been no growth of new companies listed on the Stock Exchange for at least ten years; to me this is a very sad state of affairs given what is taking place in our economy as it relates to private sector participation and when one takes into consideration that a Stock Exchange is a very important vehicle to assist with the raising of funds for the startup of new companies and for the expansion of existing companies; no Initial Public Offerings (IPO’s) or IPO’s for the issuing of Debt Instruments.
Dear Editor,
The Minister of Public Works (MoPW) held a recent Region #6 outreach where there was an ‘on the spot’ termination of a contract for one contractor due to nonperformance in executing roadworks at El Dorado and the extension of a deadline for another contractor by giving an additional three weeks to complete roadworks in Bristol Street.
