Shortage of judges

In March of last year acting Chancellor of the Judiciary Yonette Cummings-Edwards had lamented the shortage of judges in the light of the increasing case-load being placed on them.

It is not clear how genuinely concerned the administration is towards the plight of poor people and the daily stress they are under over the current cost of living crisis.

Overburdened and taxed judicial system

Dear Editor, In what can only be described as stinging and frustrated statements from top judicial officers of the need for more judges in an overburdened and taxed system, yet again another promise… the cries will be addressed within three months, with the appointments of the requisite Commissions – the PSC and JSC.
