Dear Editor, News report indicate that “H.E. Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, will be one of 27 persons bestowed with the highest honour conferred on overseas Indians – Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) – for the year 2023.”

The good news is that the Public Procurement Commission (PPC) has finally issued  a decision on a complaint before it, almost 18 months after it was constituted.

Dear Editor, As a resident of the East Bank of Demerara, I would like to highlight the horrendous traffic congestion that occurs daily on the East Bank Public Road from Little Diamond to Grove (heading south) and from Friendship to Diamond (northward bound).
