Dear Editor, In response to the letter published in the Stabroek Newspaper on December 31, 2022, with the title “My son paid $3000 to the GPO as a penalty for not having a National ID card,” The Guyana Post Office Corporation wishes to inform the public that such a policy does not exist within the Corporation and that a valid driver’s license is an acceptable form of identification when accessing the Corporation’s services.
So here we are at the start of a new year, although just how new it will be for most of us remains to be seen.
