Dear Editor, According to David Jessop, in his article headed ‘At Last a Time For Action on the CSME’ in the Sunday Stabroek of December 16, 2018, Guyana does not appear to have been represented at the special summit hosted recently in Trinidad & Tobago, and attended by the Prime Ministers of Barbados and Jamaica, the declared objective of which was to resuscitate the Caricom Single Market & Economy.

Dear Editor, Members, volunteers and citizens, by now you may be aware that the PPP’s no-confidence motion has been carried.

Dear Editor, I applaud the stance taken by Charrandas Persaud. Every Guyanese who cares about democracy and the future of Guyana should embrace Charrandas Persaud as a Guyanese hero.

Dear Editor, Did the Chair really think there would have been no repercussions to intemperate statements made?

Dear Editor, Now that the Opposition PPP/C has won the no-confidence motion against the Government and the APNU+AFC Government of President David Granger has fallen, let us not take this time to gloat but to reflect on the outcome as we gear up towards general elections in 2019.

Dear Editor, May I take this opportunity to point out to President David Granger that problems also present opportunities?

Dear Editor, Would there be any sanctions or discipline meted out to the MP who used an expletive in the hallowed Chamber while urging the dissenting MP to change his vote in the just concluded no-confidence motion?

Dear Editor, I write concerning the no-confidence motion regarding which many felt payment was made to the MP that crossed to the side of the PPP.

Dear Editor, 2019 could be the watershed moment in the history of this country if the main political parties make some drastic changes.

Friday’s vote in the National Assembly by APNU+AFC MP, Charrandas Persaud  has triggered the fall of the government.

Dear Editor, The successful piloting of the no-confidence vote by Opposition Leader Dr Bharrat Jagdeo is indicative of the tense and fractious relationship within the leadership of the AFC on the one hand, and the continuing and deepening schism between the two coalition partners, namely the AFC and the APNU, on the other.
