The highlight of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club’s (GMR&SC) 1320 Heat was Peter Daby’s Mazda RX-7 which lit up the South Dakota Strip on Sunday clocking the fastest time of the day with 9.067 seconds as the drag racing season got underway.

Teju, Brady, Hunter rewrite records at GAPLF National Novices Championship

The record books were rewritten yesterday at the Saint Stanislaus College Auditorium as 20-year-old Nicholas Teju (Men’s Junior Raw 53 kg), Romeo Hunter (Men’s Sub Junior 83 kg), and Norman Brady (Men’s Master 4 Raw 83 kg) set new records in their respective weight classes at the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation’s (GAPLF) National Novices Championship.
