Once again, in a repeat of last year, Briton John soloed to victory unhurried in the Forbes Burnham Memorial Cycling Road Race to retain his title, making it two wins in as many road races for the year thus far as his impressive run of form continued yesterday.

Fraser’s 4-fer leads Demerara to GCB Women’s Inter-County T20 title

By Michaelangelo Jacobus Demerara skipper and West Indies pacer Cherry-Ann Fraser had an excellent day with the ball yesterday afternoon at the Malteenoes Sports Club Ground, grabbing four wickets as her side dismissed defending champions of the GCB Women’s Inter-County T20 competition, Berbice, for a paltry 34 before chasing it down, albeit with some hiccups to lift this year’s title.
