(Reuters) – Robert Lewandowski’s late penalty earned Barcelona a hard-fought 2-1 win at Osasuna yesterday as the defending LaLiga champions secured their third consecutive victory after starting the season with a goalless draw at Getafe.

ZURICH, Switzerland, CMC – Jamaicans Shericka Jackson and Danielle Williams led Caribbean performers with wins, and they were two of eight world champions that maintained their status at the World Athletics Diamond League meet on Thursday in the Swiss city of Zurich.

Coach hails double-crown champions Barbados

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Barbados head coach Dexter Toppin praised his side after they created a slice of history when they became double-crown champions of the Cricket West Indies Under-17 Rising Stars tournament that ended on Thursday in Trinidad and Tobago.
