Asif wants more time to prepare appeal

KARACHI, (Reuters) – Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Asif said yesterday he had withdrawn his appeal against a suspension for alleged spot-fixing next week in order to give his lawyers more time to prepare a detailed challenge.

Australian authorities confirm nine positive tests

MELBOURNE, (Reuters) – Nine Australian athletes face the possibility of two-year bans after returning positive tests for the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine in a recent raft of testing by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA).

MCYS distributes tennis tables to 22 schools

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) launched the National Schools Table Tennis Programme yesterday by donating 22 brand new  tennis tables to 22 schools in various administrative regions across Guyana.
