Georgetown Cricket Association’s Haier Cup second division tournament got off to an electrifying start on Saturday with Demerara Cricket Club’s (DCC) Jamal Hinckson scoring the first century while Everest Cricket Club’s Javed Rasheed picked up a five wicket haul all on the first day.

Queensway makes donation to GCUA

The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Haier Cup second division limited overs tournament bowled off on Saturday at the Demerara Cricket Club ground but prior to the start of play, former national junior table tennis player, Sarfraz Shadood, a representative of Queensway Company, made a presentation of shirts to the Georgetown Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association.

Chandrika, Bess dominate in South Zone

Guyana’s Brandon Bess was in fine form with bat and ball in the South Zone Cricket league in Trinidad and Tobago grabbing four wickets and scoring 48 runs as his team Clarke Rochard defeated Juniors of Pleasantville by a whopping 291 runs.
