ExxonMobil U14 Football Championship concludes tomorrow

The ExxonMobil U14 Football Championship will conclude tomorrow at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown, with defending champion East Ruimveldt opposing Charlestown in the Girl’s division, and Ann’s Grove battling Charlestown in the Boy’s section.

GOA names 16 for South American Games

Sixteen athletes from four disciplines will represent Guyana at the X11 edition of the South American Games in Paraguay next month The X11 edition of the South American Games will be hosted in Asunción, Paraguay, from October 1-15 and Guyana will be represented by 16 athletes in four disciplines.

Despite the closure of the window to submit the names of the athletes to participate at the South American Games in Paraguay next month, an 11th hour plea will be made this weekend at a meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil in an effort to enable them to compete.
