Russian, Belarus athletes banned

(Reuters) – World Athletics yesterday joined a growing list of sporting bodies to ban Russian and Belarusian athletes, while tennis’s governing bodies barred players from competing under the name or flag of either country following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Lady Jags confident of progressing further in competition

Following the Lady Jaguars team’s loss to Mexico in the 2022 Concacaf U20 Championship on Monday, head-coach Paul DeAbreu affirmed that fixtures against quality opposition is beneficial for the team’s development, adding that the squad is confident of progressing deeper in the tournament.
