It’s here! ICC Men’s T20 World Cup trophy arrives in Guyana

Amid much pomp and ceremony, the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men’s T20 World Cup trophy arrived yesterday, completing its tour of the Land of Many Waters.

Golden Jags in Brazil for two-week World Cup training camp

With their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign slated to commence on June 6th, the Golden Jaguars are currently undertaking a two-week training camp in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as part of the preparatory phase.

As the 2nd edition of the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) Tertiary Basketball League (TBL II) continued on Sunday, the University of Guyana (UG), Linden Technical Institute (LTI) and Government Technical institute (GTI) all chalked up wins at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.

Williams, Hetsberger & Wilson best lifters at GAPLF Intermediates/Masters Championships 

 -nine records tumble    By Michelangelo Jacobus Alexis Williams (Female Intermediate), Duarte Hetsberger (Male Intermediate) and Marlon Wilson (Male Masters Classic) strained, struggled and muscled their way to Best Lifters accolades on Sunday at the Saint Stanislaus Auditorium while nine records were also rewritten at the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting (GAPLF) 2024 Intermediates and Masters Championships.
