Grammys add changes to R&B, Jazz, Latin categories

(EUR) A year after the Grammy Awards dropped 31 categories (from 109 to 78), sparking protests and a lawsuit by Latin jazz musicians, the music organization has switched things up again by adding three awards, including the reinstatement of best Latin jazz album.

As promised, this week’s critical review will focus on what the judges told the defeated contestants before they were cut from the GT&T Feel the Beat competition; why they were sent home and what the audience thought of their eliminations.

Mothers and daughters display love out of this world

Holly Fraser-Persaud and her daughter Aleka, Natasha James and Nkasi and Donnett La Rose and Shonnett are the mothers and daughters who took the crowns in the junior, middle and senior category respectively at the annual mother and daughter pageant held at the National Cultural Centre last Saturday under the theme, ‘Love Out Of This World’.
